July 6, 1961 — Nelson T. Clark, 14, son of Mr. and Mrs. Blackburn Clark, of Luray, won the Virginia State Junior Tray- shooting Championship held at Winchester Saturday and Sunday.

The senior contest was won by Fred Walker of Bluefield. Jack Spaid of the Federal Cartridge Co. of Minneapolis won the professional division.

Clark got 86 out of 100 in the handicap shooting from the 18-yard line. He was runner-up last year. Clark has been shooting for two years. He is a freshman at Luray High School.
