Age 81, Stanley, Va.
Steven Morris McCoy, 81, of Stanley, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the Life Care Center of New Market.
He was born on Oct. 1, 1940, in Stanley and was a son of the late Hoyt McCoy and Lela Pearl Cubbage McCoy.
He is survived by three sons, Steven M. McCoy Jr. of Luray, James McCoy of Stephenson, and Charles Smelser, also of Luray; a daughter, Candy McCoy of Timberville; sister, Genevieve Presgraves of Luray, 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John F. McCoy; and a two sisters, Frances Petralia and Catherine Walters.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Keith Higgs. Burial will be in the McCoy Family Cemetery in Stanley.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 18, at the funeral home.
