Work suspended at Kimball ore bank

HISTORY-Lee highway builders

July 14, 1887 — Mr. Price who had made extensive and expensive preparations for working the Kimball ore bank, near Kimball, 3-1/2 miles northeast of Luray, has, we regret to state, been compelled to suspend operations on account of the exhaustion of the ore supply.

We note the fact with sincere regret, as Mr. Price had gone to great expense to successfully operate the mine, and had the ore been found, his enterprise would have been of untold value to the county.
