Upcoming opening of Bailey’s Legacy Dog Park

Letter

I’m the guy who is building/donating Page County’s FIRST dog park that is currently being installed next to the Hawksbill Recreation Pool in Stanley.

Stanley Town Manager Terry Pettit and I had hoped to have Bailey’s Legacy Dog Park open by the end of 2022, but assorted delays in getting the ordered materials delivered and installed, and the seasonal temperatures have delayed the planned opening.  We now hope to have this first county dog park opened by April 1, 2023.

Prior to the official opening on April 1, I would like to schedule “soft” openings of the dog park on the two prior Saturdays — March 18 and 25, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Pick up a copy of the park brochure at the dog park, local businesses, and the public libraries in the county, which includes the background, rules, and conduct when you bring your dog to the park.

If you have questions, feel free to call me.

Hope to see you there.

    • We should be all in on diversity, inclusion, and equity, (DIE). I’m sure there are cats that identify as dogs. If there are dogs that identify as cats, then they will be kicked out if straight cats can’t go in. Not fair!!
Plus, you’re all a bunch of racists!

  1. Why can’t you just be happy that someone has donated their own money to bring something new to Page County??
Maybe you should donate yours and build a cat park!
