WISE, July 2 — Shenandoah Recreation League’s Brynlee Wolfe was selected the Virginia 10U Babe Ruth state softball tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
The 10U All-Star softball team captured the 2022 Babe Ruth Softball Tournament championship on July 2 at Veldon Dotson Park way down in Wise, Va. The 10U All-Stars swept all four games they played, outscoring their opponents 53-12. They now advance to regionals this week.
The 10U All-Stars were the second Shenandoah Rec League team to capture a state championship, as the 12U All-Stars took the title in their division the next day. Caelyn “KK” Lucas was chosen MVP.
