Football
The Panthers of Page County (4-5) travel to Bull Run District leader Clarke County (8-1) this Friday, Nov. 5 for their regular season finale. Page comes off a 34-12 loss at home against Strasburg (8-1) last Friday night. Junior Gunner Strickler came up with two interceptions during the game, as the Panthers got scores from Ricky Campbell and Caden Lucas at the end of each half. Page still looks to make the Region B playoffs — likely as a No. 8 seed — starting Nov. 12.
The Bulldogs of Luray (4-5) travel to Madison County (2-7) for their final game of the regular season in a district match-up on the road this Friday, Nov. 5. Luray comes off a tough 14-0 loss to Clarke County (8-1) last Friday night at home. The Bulldog defense kept them in the contest, while the offense has been held scoreless in their last two games. The Bulldogs will also be in the mix when the Region B playoffs kickoff Nov. 12, probably seeded about sixth or seventh.
