LURAY, July 22 — A Page County grand jury handed down a total of 66 indictments among 28 individuals during its July 6 session in Page County Circuit Court.
Among those indicted during the July 6 grand jury session include:
• Travis Aaron Sprouse, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on two felonies and 20 misdemeanor charges related to incidents of animal cruelty and drug possession this winter and spring. Sprouse was indicted on a Class 5 felony for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug on Feb. 3, 2022 (arrest date of March 29, 2022), according to court records; and a Class 6 felony for the torture or maiming of a dog or cat on May 10, 2022 (arrest date of May 14, 2022). He was also indicted on a string of Class 1 misdemeanors, including 10 counts of abandonment of animals, nine counts of cruelty to animals, and one count of fleeing law enforcement (offense and arrest on March 29, 2022). The offenses against animals occurred on May 10, 2022, according to court records, with an arrest date of May 14, 2022. Sprouse is scheduled to appear in court again at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26 for further proceedings.
• Matthew Travis Burton, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 6 felony for child abuse/disregard of life, and four counts of a Class 1 misdemeanor for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The offenses occurred on Sept. 17, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of Sept. 18, 2021. Burton is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Brandon Steven Guzman Abaraca, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 6 felony for wounding by strangulation with an injury resulting, and two counts of a Class 1 misdemeanor for assault and battery of a family member. The felony and one misdemeanor took place with an arrest on Oct. 16, 2021, according to court records. One assault and battery charge took place with an arrest on Jan. 26, 2022, according to court records. Guzman Abaraca is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022 for further proceedings.
• David Allen Jones, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 6 felony for the assault and battery of a family member (third or subsequent offense). The offense and an arrest occurred on April 17, 2022, according to court records. Jones is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug.17, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Joshua Delaney Debolt, of Luray, Va., was indicted on an unclassified felony for grand larceny. The offense occurred on Jan. 13, 2022, according to court records, with an arrest date of Jan. 17, 2022. Debolt is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022 for a status hearing.
• Steven Lee Creel, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on three Class 5 felonies for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug and a Class 6 felony for the possession of a gun (on person) while in possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offenses all occurred on Jan. 15, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of Jan. 25, 2022. Creel is scheduled to appear in court again at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022 for pre-trial motions.
• Kevin William Zettlemoyer, of Roanoke, Va. was indicted on three felonies related to drugs and weapons charges. Zettlemoyer was indicted on an unclassified felony for the distribution/sale for profit of a Schedule I/II drug. He was also indicted on two Class 6 felonies for displaying a firearm while selling a Schedule I/II drug and non-violent felony gun possession (within 10 years). The offenses all occurred on Dec. 30, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of Dec. 31, 2021. Zettlemoyer is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Jimmy Lee Shifflett, of Luray, Va., was indicted on an unclassified felony for receiving/buying stolen goods valued at greater than $1,000, and a Class 5 felony for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offenses occurred on Aug, 1, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of Aug. 2, 2021. Shifflett is scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Donnie Lee Mook, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug and an unclassified felony for possession with intent to manufacture a Schedule I/II drug. The offenses occurred on Aug. 24, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of March 24, 2022. Mook is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022 for a status hearing.
• Patti Lynn Lucas, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug and received a direct indictment on a Class 1 misdemeanor for substituting a urine sample. Both offenses and an arrest occurred on May 12, 2022, according to court records. Lucas is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Melissa Renee Dempster, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Aug. 12, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of July 12, 2022. Dempster was scheduled to appear in court again on July 20.
• Aaron Glenn Hoover, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug and received a direct indictment on a Class 1 misdemeanor for driving while his license was revoked or suspended. The offenses occurred on Aug. 2, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of Aug. 3, 2021. Hoover is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Traci Michele Maier (a.k.a – Kristine/Gaines Crook-Shank), of Roanoke, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Dec. 30, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of Dec. 31, 2021. Maier is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Jonathan James O’Donnell, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on May 11, 2022, according to court records. O’Donnell is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Jonathan Scott Wallace, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on March 11, 2022, according to court records. Wallace is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Billy Wayne Thomas Jr., of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on March 6, 2022, according to court records. Thomas is scheduled to appear in court again at 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 1, 2022 for drug court.
• Jonathan Michael Shrader, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Jan. 23, 2022, according to court records, with an arrest date of Jan. 24, 2022. Shrader is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Donnie Lee Knowles, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Feb. 6, 2022, according to court records, with an arrest date of Feb. 7, 2022. Knowles was scheduled to appear in court again on July 20 for further proceedings.
• William Leroy Kirtley Jr., of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Feb. 16, 2022, according to court records. Kirtley is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Brandon Jay Kilgore, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Sept. 25, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of Sept. 26, 2021. Kilgore is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Tiffani Deanne Henry, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Feb. 20, 2022, according to court records. Henry is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Ashley Annette Gray, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on March 27, 2022, according to court records. Gray is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Timothy Hayward Davis, of Manassas, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on March 3, 2022, according to court records. Davis is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Jason Shane Cook, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Dec. 28, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of March 22, 2022. Cook is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Cheyanna Morgan Buracker, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Jan. 27, 2022, according to court records, with an arrest date of April 28, 2022. Buracker is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022 for further proceedings.
• William Dale Thomas, of Luray, Va., was indicted on three Class 5 felonies; two for possession of gamma butyrolactonel, a controlled substance, and one for possession of a Schedule I/II drug . The offenses occurred on Aug. 26, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of Nov. 3, 2021. Thomas is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Cameron Wade Back, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on March 10, 2022, according to court records, with an arrest date of March 11, 2022. Back is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 for further proceedings.
• Bryan Edward Davis, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 6 felony for driving while intoxicated (DWI), a third or subsequent offense. The offense and an arrest occurred on Dec. 22, 2021, according to court records. Davis is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 for further proceedings.
