Grand jury issues 59 indictments in May session, including child abuse and sex with a minor

LURAY, May 4 — A Page County grand jury handed down 59 indictments among 24 individuals during its May session on Wednesday in Page County Circuit Court.

Among those indicted during the May 4 grand jury session include:

Juan Francisco Alejandro Munoz, of Luray, Va., was indicted on an unclassified felony for sodomy of a victim under the age of 13. The offense occurred on Feb. 1, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of March 3, 2021. Munoz is scheduled to return to court at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, to enter a plea.

Sasha Nicole Brady, of New Market, Md., was indicted on four counts of Class 6 felony child abuse, as well as two Class 1 misdemeanors for brandishing a firearm and the assault and battery of a family member. The charges stem from incidents on Nov. 25, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date listed of Feb. 18, 2022. Brady is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10 for a jury trial.

Franklin D. Rose Jr., of Luray and Stanley, Va., (both locations listed among various charges), was indicted on an unclassified felony for distribution of meth (more than 10 grams) on Aug. 7, 2020 (arrested on that date), a Class 6 felony for felony offender escape without violence on Aug. 18, 2021 (arrested same date), a Class 1 misdemeanor for receiving or buying stolen goods and a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug on June 15, 2021 (arrested), and two counts for Class 5 felony possession of a Schedule I/II drug on Aug. 7, 2020 (arrested). Rose is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22 for further proceedings.

Stephanie Lynn Cubbage, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on three Class 5 felonies for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug, two Class 6 felonies for prisoner possession of an unlawful chemical, and five Class 1 misdemeanors for failure to appear in court. No indictment was presented on two additional felony drug possession charges filed against Cubbage. One possession charge stems from an incident on Jan. 15, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest on the same date. All other charges occurred on Oct. 30, 2021, according to court records. Cubbage is scheduled to appear in court again at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24 to show cause.

Jerry Lee Campbell, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 6 felony for eluding or disregarding police and a Class 1 misdemeanor (direct indictment) for driving while intoxicated (DWI – drugs, 1st offense) on Jan. 29, 2022, according to court records, with an arrest on the same date. Campbell also received two direct indictments on Class 1 misdemeanors for two counts of petit larceny (less than $500, not on person) on Jan. 30, 2022, according to court records. Campbell is scheduled to appear in court again at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24 for further proceedings.

Jerry Wayne McCorkle II, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on an unclassified felony for obtaining a credit card (not authorized) with no larceny and two Class 1 misdemeanors on two counts of petit larceny (less than $500, not from person). The charges stem from incidents on Feb. 7, 2022, according to court records, with an arrest date of March 16, 2022. McCorkle is scheduled to appear in court again 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24 for a status hearing.

• Barry Wade Foltz, (address not listed), received two direct indictments on unclassified felonies for manufacturing and/or distributing a Schedule I/II drug (2nd offense). The offenses occurred on Jan. 8, 2022, according to court records, with no arrest date listed. Following an issuance of a true bill for indictment by the grand jury on May 4, a capias warrant was issued for Foltz’s arrest.

• Jacob Owen Carrico, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug and a Class 6 felony for the possession of a gun (on person) while in possession of a Schedule I/II drug. Both offenses occurred on Aug. 26, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of Oct. 23, 2021. Carrico is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 8 for a status hearing.

• Jami Lynn Wood, (a.k.a – Jami Lynn Miller), of Luray, Va., was indicted on two Class 5 felonies for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. One count occurred on March 24, 2022, according to court documents, while the other occurred on Jan. 7, 2022. An arrest was made on each corresponding date, according to court documents. Wood is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18 for further proceedings.

• Brian Lee Harden, of Luray, Va., was indicted on two Class 5 felonies for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. One offense occurred on Dec. 31, 2021, according to court documents, while the other took place on March 2, 2022. The arrest date listed for both offense is March 2, 2022. Harden is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28 for further proceedings.

• Samantha Lynn Lawrence, of Richmond, Va., was indicted on two Class 5 felonies for possession of a Schedule I/II drug and two Class 1 misdemeanors for failure to appear in court. The drug offenses occurred on Nov. 7, 2018, according to court documents, with an arrest date of Dec. 19, 2020. Lawrence is scheduled to appear in court again at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1 to show cause.

• Kevin Wayne Eppard, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on two Class 5 felonies for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. One count occurred on Feb. 4, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of April 7, 2021. The second offense occurred on Dec. 5, 2020, according to court records, with an arrest on the same date. Eppard is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25 for further proceedings.

• Brandon Scott Williams, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Dec. 28, 2021, according to court records. Williams is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22 for further proceedings.

• Gary Wilson Beasley Jr., of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Feb. 7, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of March 26, 2021. Beasley is scheduled to appear in court again at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28 for motions and other pre-trial proceedings.

• Albert Lee Stoneberger Jr., of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on June 18, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of Sept. 28, 2021. Stoneberger is scheduled to appear in court again at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1 for further proceedings.

• Derek Ray Runyon, of Rileyville, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug and a Class 1 misdemeanor for failure to appear in court. The drug offense and an arrest occurred on Oct. 8, 2021, according to court records. Following the May 4 indictments, a capias warrant was issued for Runyon’s arrest.

• Ryan M. Garaguso, of Sicklerville, N.J., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug and a Class 1 misdemeanor for failure to appear in court. The drug offense and an arrest occurred on Oct. 9, 2021, according to court records. Following the May 4 indictments, a capias warrant was issued for Garaguso’s arrest.

• Dylan James O’Dell, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Dec. 23, 2021, according to court records. O’Dell is scheduled to appear in court again at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24 for a status hearing.

• Emmalee Lyn Kann, of Staunton, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Oct. 23, 2019, according to court records, with an arrest date of Feb. 28, 2022. Kann is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13 for a status hearing.

• Lisa Ann Good, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug and a Class 1 misdemeanor for driving while her license was revoked or suspended. Both offenses and an arrest occurred on Dec. 23, 2021, according to court records. Good is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18 for further proceedings.

• Tabitha Renee Price, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on April 24, 2022, according to court records. Price is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22 for a status hearing.

• Shannon Joseph Freeze, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Feb. 16, 2022, according to court records, with an arrest date of March 26, 2022. Freeze is scheduled to appear in court again at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24 for further proceedings.

• Jacob Dennis Brill, of Front Royal, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Oct. 26, 2021, according to court records. Following the May 4 indictment, a capias warrant was issued for Brill’s arrest.

• Robert John Beaty, of Luray, Va., was indicted on two Class 1 misdemeanors for driving while his license was revoked or suspended (third time in 10 years) and reckless driving (bad brakes). The offenses occurred on Oct. 22, 2021, according to court records, with no arrest date listed. Beaty is scheduled to appear in court again at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24 for further proceedings.
