April 23, 1987 — Page County’s restaurant industry is benefiting from the impending industrial boom. Max Foltz on Tuesday confirmed plans for a sit-down restaurant on Va. 646 near White House Bridge and Ganders Island.
According to Foltz, the property owner, construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in mid-summer on the facility. Plans call for the cedar wood restaurant to have a cathedral ceiling and an “excellent view” of the Shenandoah River.
Foltz said the restaurant will seat about 75 and, if the endeavor proves to be successful, may be expanded to accommodate wedding parties and other large gatherings.
