Old country road

February 10, 1887 — With mail three times a week we hear often from the outside world, and believing that one good term deserves another, we will let the world hear once from us. We have a live industrious and energetic population, and what we most need now is a store. The stand is a good one, and to the right man we will guarantee a good livelihood at least. 

A.J. Miller is our efficient postmaster, and if all of Uncle Sam’s officers were such as he, content with a small salary, the surplus in the treasury would be larger than it is. 

No farm work yet for the spring crops. 

Schools are thriving.
