Age 75, Rileyville, Va.
On May 12, 2022, James Walter Mann, Jr. of Rileyville, Va. passed away due to a tragic automobile accident on Route 340 in Luray, Va. He was killed instantly upon impact. He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and someone that anyone could rely on.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years Ann Marie Mann, his treasured son Christian James Mann, daughter in law Jennifer Henson Mann, and his adored grandchildren Cassie Mann, Iain and Shane Hodge, and his brothers Barry Mann and Larry Mann. His family was always his number one priority.
Jim retired from employment after 30-plus years as a Construction Supply Sales Representative in Northern Virginia. He was always a hard worker, but he found it to be time to spend time with his family and to just continue his passions.
Aside from his family, Jim’s Passions were music and golf. He was a regular at the Shenvalee Golf Club before his failing eyesight prohibited his play. He was an accomplished guitarist and pianist and had a beautiful voice. He performed professionally on and off over the years, but was at his finest just sitting and strumming with his friends, neighbors, fellow musicians and of course his family.
Before he passed, his dementia got worse rapidly. Although he never stopped being the kind man that everyone adored. He was always willing to help no matter who it was, a stranger, a friend, a family member. His kindness never failed those around him and this amazing human being will leave his generous, selfless, and loving legacy that he has brought to endless amounts of people. Please appreciate the time you have with others and never take the time for granted.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
