June 16, 1911 — At a meeting of the Town Council held in the Council Chamber, May 12, 1911, an ordinance to amend and re-enact Sec. 26 of Chapter 5 of the ordinances of the town of Luray: If a person on the Sabbath day be found within the limits of said town laboring at any trade or call-in, or employ his apprentices or servants in labor or other business, except in household or other work of necessity or charity, he shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not less than $5 for each offense.
