On Saturday, December 23, the brothers of C. F. Shuler Lodge #74 in conjunction with “So Mote It Beef” continued their tradition of providing hams to families in need. They were supported by members of every lodge in District 5; which includes Ashlar Lodge #125 Shenandoah, Magnetic #184 of Stanley, and Lafayette Lodge #137 Luray along with Mount Jackson #103.

Ten hams were delivered to area families in need, and three were delivered to the West Luray Rec Center to help provide meals for those in need. Along with the hams, $350 was raised for further community outreach activities.

Twenty hams were also donated to Main Street Baptist Church for their “White Christmas” ministry. The hams were delivered to the Luray church on Dec. 17, and church members distributed them to 20 families in need, according to Pastor Tim Scott.
