Pence only allowed two runners to reach base through the first five innings against the Rams last week. She also went 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI-double in the explosive sixth inning. Page County recorded its 12th-straight win and sits tied with Central (15-1) atop the Bull Run District.
The Panthers are now 15-3 on the season and haven’t lost a game since April 2. Page split with Central during the regular season after a 6-4 loss at home, and a 1-0 win on the road. Central still has to face Clarke and Strasburg, while Page faces three of the four bottom teams in the district to close out the regular season.
The Panthers should at least finish tied for first place at the end of the regular season, and have a shot at being the No. 1 seed in the district (and possibly region) tournament.
