Age 85, Bentonville, Va.
Virginia Catherine Dinges Thomas, 85, of Bentonville, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab in Luray.
She was born on April 25, 1938, in Luray and was a daughter of the late William McKinley Dinges and Katie Lucille Strickler Dinges.
Virginia was a member of the Forward For Christ Baptist Church in Luray.
On June 12, 1959, she married Bobby Lewis Thomas, who died on December 27, 2020.
Virginia is survived by a daughter, Lisa Weatherholt and husband Terry of Bentonville; a son, Robert Thomas of Bentonville; a sister, Betty Sours of Luray; a brother, Jimmy Lee Dinges of Luray; two granddaughters, Heidi Weatherholt of Bentonville, and Stephanie Vaught and husband Chris of Front Royal; and one great-grandson, Luke Vaught of Front Royal.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary E. Rinker, Julia B. Fawley and Naomi R. Dinges; and two brothers, Charles W. Dinges and Floyd Ted Dinges.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 8, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Josh Parlett, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray.
Member contributions may be made to the Forward For Christ Baptist Church or to Blue Ridge Hospice.
