LURAY, Jan. 7 — A Page County grand jury handed down 39 indictments among 22 individuals during its Jan. 5 session in Page County Circuit Court.
The 23 individuals indicted during Wednesday’s grand jury session include:
• Jeremy Lee Shifflett, of Stanley, Va., received two direct indictments on Class 5 felonies for proposing sex to a minor (age “15+” years). Both offenses occurred on May 1, 2021, according to online court records, with no arrest date listed. A capias warrant was issued for Shifflett’s arrest. He is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12.
• Adam Daniel Freeze, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on three Class 5 felonies and two Class 6 felonies related to his failure to register as a sex offender. The five incidents took place on four different dates in April and May of 2021, according to online court records. The arrest date listed for all five offenses was Aug. 19, 2021. Freeze is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9 for further proceedings.
• Robert Wayne Long, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on an unclassified felony for grand theft auto. The offense occurred on Oct. 31, 2021, according to online court records, with an arrest date of Nov. 8, 2021. Long is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 19 for further proceedings.
• Brian Scott Kline, of Rileyville, Va., was indicted on an unclassified felony for grand larceny of an amount greater than or equal to $1,000 and received a direct indictment on a Class 1 misdemeanor for driving while intoxicated (DWI) first offense. Both offenses and an arrest occurred on Sept. 21, 2021, according to online court records. Kline is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9 for further proceedings.
• Nathan Randall Beahm, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 6 felony for the destruction of property with intent valued at greater than or equal to $1,000 and on a Class 1 misdemeanor for failure to appear in court on Jan. 5. The destruction of property incident occurred on May 20, 2021, according to online court records, with an arrest date of May 21, 2021. A capias warrant has been issued for Beahm’s arrest.
• Michael Allen Ker, of Harrisonburg, Va., was indicted on three Class 4 felonies for forgery of public records and one Class 1 misdemeanor for falsely identifying himself to law enforcement. All four incidents and an arrest occurred on Oct. 25, 2021, according to online court records. Ker is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9 for further proceedings.
• Jamaal Tereek Goode, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 6 felony for carrying a concealed weapon (second offense) and a Class 1 misdemeanor for failure to appear in court on Jan. 5. The weapons offense and an arrest occurred on April 25, 2021, according to online court records. A capias warrant has been issued for Goode’s arrest.
• Benjamin Paul Cross, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug and received two direct indictments on two Class 1 misdemeanors for driving while his operator’s license was revoked or suspended. The drug offense and one of the misdemeanors occurred on July 21, 2021, according to online court records, with an arrest on the same date. The other charge for driving on a revoked or suspended license occurred on Sept. 7, 2021, with no arrest date listed. Cross is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12 for further proceedings.
• Troy Christopher Bentley, of Luray, Va., was indicted on two Class 5 felonies for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The two drug offenses and an arrest occurred on Aug. 23, 2021, according to online court records. Bentley is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2 for a status hearing.
• Michael Ming Yee, of Luray, Va., was indicted on two Class 5 felonies for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug. Both offenses and an arrest occurred on Aug. 19, 2021, according to online court records. An additional arrest for one of the charges took place on Nov. 7, 2021. Yee is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 19 for further proceedings.
• Joel Robert Miller, of Luray, Va., was indicted on two Class 5 felonies for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. Both offenses and an arrest occurred on Sept. 6, 2021, according to court records. Miller is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 .m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12 for further proceedings.
• Zacharee Isaiah Smith, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug and a Class 1 misdemeanor for failure to appear in court on Jan. 5. The drug offense occurred on Aug. 3, 2021, according to court documents, with an arrest date of Aug. 13, 2021. A capias warrant has been issued for Smith’s arrest.
• Brittany Michelle Bond, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on May 2, 2021, according to online court records. Bond is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9 for further proceedings.
• Norman Douglas Eppard III, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on July 15, 2021, according to online court records. Eppard is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26 for further proceedings.
• Richard Everett Freeze (a.k.a. Richard Everett Freeze II), of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Aug. 23, 2021, according to online court records. Freeze is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 19 for further proceedings.
• Tori Rachel Seal, of Luray, Va., was charged with a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Aug. 23, 2021, according to online court records. After making a plea on Jan. 5, Seal received a deferred disposition and was assigned to Page County’s new drug court, where she will appear at 1 :30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 10 for further proceedings.
• Nikki Lee Davies, of Edinburg, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on July 16, 2021, according to online court records. Davis is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26 for further proceedings.
• Terry James Harrison Jr., of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Aug. 16, 2021, according to online court records. Harrison is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9 for further proceedings.
• Kjirsten Ariel Flanders, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on July 10, 2021, according to online court records. Flanders is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9 for further proceedings.
• Jami Lynn Wood, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on June 21, 2021, according to online court records. Wood is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9 for further proceedings.
• Gilbert Eugene Sours, (address not listed), was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Sept. 21, 2021, according to online court records, with no arrest date listed. Sours is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12 for further proceedings.
• Robin John Reif, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on June 25, 2020, according to online court records, with no arrest date listed. Reif is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9 for further proceedings.
• David Ernesto Bernal, of Fairfax, Va., was indicted on three unclassified felonies for obtaining money by false pretense in an amount greater than or equal to $500. All three incidents occurred in December 2019 (Dec. 6, Dec. 9 and Dec. 19), according to online court records, with an arrest date of Aug. 7, 2020. Bernal is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12 for further proceedings.
Grand jury hearings are held the first Wednesday of each month in Page County Circuit Court.
