LURAY, Aug. 10 — A Page County grand jury handed down 36 indictments among 26 individuals during last week’s Aug. 4 session in Page County Circuit Court.

Among those charges, 19 indictments filed against 15 individuals were sealed — meaning no information about those cases is available to the public. A judge will often seal the contents of a case file if it is part of an ongoing investigation, and if making that information public would damage or endanger the investigation being conducted or those conducting it. Only case numbers were given by the court, with no names or other information attached to those cases numbers.
