Luray High School junior Jaidyn McClung has been selected as a first-team honoree on the 2021 All-Region volleyball squad. Volleyball coaches from across the region voted and released the results following the conclusion of the Region 2B volleyball tournament. McClung was among 10 first-team selections and was the only local athlete to earn first-team, all-region honors.

LHS senior Trinity Belton and Page County High School senior Caris Lucas also made the All-Region volleyball squad as second-team selections. The trio earned All-District honors in the Bull Run last week.

No.2 seed Central of Woodstock (22-4) upset top-seeded East Rockingham (19-5) in five sets to earn the Region B tournament title on Tuesday, Nov. 9. Both teams will advance to the state tournament next week. In the regular season standings, East Rock and Central tied with a 13-3 district record and were named co-champions.

East Rock’s Margo Fox earned “Player of the Year” honors for Region 2B. McClung earned the same distinction in the Bull Run District this season.
