April 25, 1889 — Messrs. D.F. Kagey and B.C. Rust, of this place, have sold to J. Blake Kendall, of Washington City, for $2,500 a one- fourth interest in their tract of mineral land near Vaughn’s Summit.
They have also leased this property, which is rich in iron and manganese, to a company, of which Mr. Kendall is a member.
The lessees will begin the work of mining iron ore and manganese between now and June 1.
