Weekly YouTube show dives into various issues, sites and events in the Page Valley
By Randy Arrington
LURAY, May 20 — This week we visit the Hawksbill Pool in Stanley, which opens this Saturday, May 23 at 11:30 a.m. As the only public pool in Page County, this site has drawn visitors from dozens of states and several foreign countries.
Funded through the Town of Stanley and Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) funds, the Hawksbill Pool site has a unique history and contains pieces and parts from historic buildings in Washington, D.C. We’ll talk with Town Manager Terry Pettit about that unique history, and with Parks and Rec Director Terri Beers about making plans for Movie Nights and pool parties this summer.
(Page Valley Livin’~Episode 117 was recorded Tuesday, May 19, and aired Wednesday, May 20, 2026).
Coming up on Page Valley Livin’… we’ll visit the Shenandoah Memorial Parade and check in with the Page County Recreation Department.
The aim and purpose of these videos is to provide more information about more things that make up the wonderful place we call the Page Valley of Virginia. Serious issues will be handled seriously, while lighter issues may offer more opportunity to have some fun. There is no theme or agenda other than promoting the Page Valley, and trying to better inform the people who both live here and those who love to visit.
