Child abuse, assault and battery, grand larceny, among 55 indictments issued in August session

LURAY, Aug. 3 — A Page County grand jury handed down a total of 55 indictments among 29 individuals during its Wednesday session in Page County Circuit Court this week.

Among those indicted during the Aug. 3 grand jury session include:

Walter Onley Supthin, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a total of five felonies and one misdemeanor, including a Class 6 felony for strangling/wounding an individual with an injury resulting, two Class 6 felonies for assault and battery of a family member (third or more offense), a Class 6 felony for child abuse/disregard of life, a Class 5 felony for abduction by force/intimidation, and a Class 1 misdemeanor for interfering with an emergency radio transmission. The offenses and an arrest occurred on May 22, 2022, according to court records, with an additional arrest date of May 25, 2022 listed on three charges (child abuse, abduction and one assault charge). Supthin is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022 for pre-trial motions.

David Wayne Kile, of Elkton, Va., was indicted on five felonies and two misdemeanors, including a Class 5 felony for abduction by force/intimidation (direct indictment), a Class 4 felony for maliciously shooting into an occupied building, an unclassified felony for use firearm in the commission of a felony (first offense – direct indictment), a Class 5 felony for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug, a Class 6 felony for possession of a gun while in possession of a Schedule I/II drug, a Class 1 misdemeanor for the assault and battery of a family member, and a Class 1 misdemeanor for damaging a phone line to prevent a 911 call. The offenses and an arrest occurred on March 30, 2022, according to court records. Kile is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022 for a status hearing.

Zachary Wayne Burton, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 4 felony for child abuse (serious injury – direct indictment), a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug, and a Class 1 misdemeanor for obstruction of justice/resisting without force. The offenses and an arrest occurred on May 4, 2022, according to court records. Burton is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022 for further proceedings.

Tiffany Louise Via, of Luray, Va., was indicted on two Class 5 felonies for possession of a Schedule I/II drug, and an unclassified felony for grand larceny (valued at more than $1,000, not on person). The grand larceny offense occurred on Jan.13, 2022, according to court records, with an arrest date of Jan. 14, 2022. The first drug possession charge occurred on Jan. 4, 2022, according to court records, with an arrest date of March 4, 2022; while the second drug charge occurred on Jan. 14, 2022, with an arrest on the same date. Via is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 8, 2022 for further proceedings.

Jody Scott Housden, of Luray, Va., was indicted on two Class 5 felonies for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug and an unclassified felony for receiving or buying stolen goods (valued at greater than $1,000). The first drug offense and an arrest occurred on May 16, 2022, according to court records, while the second drug offense occurred on March 22, 2022, with an arrest on May 16, 2022. The stolen goods offense occurred on May 7, 2022, according to court records, with an arrest date of May 20, 2022. Housden is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022 for further proceedings.

Cody Dwayne Shuler, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on two Class 5 felonies — one for selling stolen property (valued at more than $1,000), and another for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. Both offenses and an arrest occurred on April 16, 2022, according to court records. Shuler is scheduled to appear in court again at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23 for further proceedings.

• Christopher Michael Good, of Stanley, Va. was indicted on an unclassified felony for manufacturing or distributing a Schedule I/II drug (second offense), a Class 6 felony for possession of a gun while in possession of a Schedule I/Ii drug, and a Class 6 felony for violent felony possession or transport of a weapon. The offenses and an arrest occurred on March 21, 2022, according to court records. Good is scheduled to appear in court again at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022 for pre-trial motions.

• Meghan Zuzanna Chrisman, (aka – Meghan Z. Gentry, aka – Meghan Zuzanna Islas, aka – Meghan Chrisman), two addresses listed of Rileyville and Luray, Va., was indicted on three Class 5 felonies for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug and a Class 1 misdemeanor for obstruction of justice/resisting without force. The three drug charges occurred on three separate dates — July 4, 2022 (arrest same date), June 16, 2022 (arrest June 17, 2022), and June 13, 2022 (arrest same date). The obstruction offense and an arrest occurred on June 16, 2022, according to court records. Chrisman is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022 for further proceedings.

• Traci Michelle Maier, of Roanoke, Va., received two direct indictments on two unclassified felonies for selling/providing/reselling a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Dec. 30, 2021, according to court records. Maier is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday., Sept. 14, 2022 for further proceedings.

• Brian Allen Herring, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug and a Class 6 felony for eluding/disregarding police. The offenses and an arrest occurred on Sept. 17, 2021, according to court records. Herring is scheduled to appear in court again at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022 for further proceedings.

• Jenna Marie Liller, of Luray, Va., was indicted on two Class 5 felonies for possession of a Schedule I/II drug and two Class 1 misdemeanors for failure to appear in court. The two drug offenses occurred on March 20, 2022, according to court records, with an arrest listed on both March 20, 2022 and May 26, 2022. The failure to appear occurred on Aug. 3, 2022. Liller is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022 to show cause (for previous failure to appear).

• Amy Beth Hilliards, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on an unclassified felony for selling/providing/reselling a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Feb. 14, 2022, according to court records. Hilliards is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022 for further proceedings.

• Janice Lee Campbell, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Dec. 22, 2021, according to court records. Campbell is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022 for further proceedings.

• Zachary Keith Cash, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Aug. 26, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of May 9, 2022. Cash is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022 for further proceedings.

• Cameron Lee Tiller, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on April 14, 2022, according to court records. Tiller is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022 for further proceedings.

• Barbara Duane Miller-Allen, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on March 22, 2022, according to court records. Miller-Allen is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022 for further proceedings.

• Donald Joseph Gilliss, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on March 11, 2022, according to court records. Gilliss is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022 for fa jury trial.

• Cierra Eppard, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Feb. 17, 2022, according to court records, with an arrest date of April 19, 2022. Eppard is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31 for further proceedings.

• Gregory Robert Tucker, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on March 10, 2022, according to court records. Tucker is scheduled to appear in court again at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022 for a status hearing.

• Michelle Crystal Crider, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Oct. 21, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest date of Feb. 20, 2022. Crider is scheduled to appear in court again at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022 for further proceedings.

• Deborah Jean Eppard, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Nov. 12, 2021, according to court records. Eppard is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 8, 2022 for further proceedings.

• Kayla Ann Comer, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Nov. 8, 2021, according to court records, with an arrest on Feb. 19, 2022. Comer is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022 for further proceedings.

• Jeremy Allen Montcalm, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on March 8, 2022, according to court records. Montcalm is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022 for further proceedings.

• Marti Elanor Deremer, of Front Royal, Va., received a direct indictment on a Class 5 felony for possession of “gamma-butyrolactonel.” The offense and an arrest occurred on June 15, 2021, according to court records. Following the Aug. 3 indictment, a capias warrant was issued the same day for Deremer’s arrest.

• Cody Scott Ayers, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on March 28, 2022, according to court records. Ayers is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022 for further proceedings.

• Pricilla Candace Fox, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on April 8, 2022, according to court records. Fox is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022 for a status hearing.

• David Scott Jones, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on May 6, 2022, according to court records. Jones is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022 for further proceedings.

• Christopher Joseph Wright, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on April 25, 2022, according to court records, with an arrest date of April 29, 2022. Wright is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022 for further proceedings.

• Donald Lee Campbell Jr., of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on May 10, 2022, according to court records. Campbell is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022 for further proceedings.
