My pick for President

Letter

Dear Editor,

I’m a Vietnam veteran. In 1968, I served in Army Special Forces (Green Berets) as an “A” team commander at Thuong Duc, a remote outpost in the mountains west of Da Nang.

Although I was never in big battles, it was no picnic. Small engagements took their toll; of the 12-man team, two of my guys were killed and four were wounded.

If I could have chosen my replacements, who would I pick? I would want someone who would always tell me the truth. Someone who would take responsibility. Someone willing to make sacrifices for the welfare of others.

Someone I could trust with my life.

Now the question is who do I pick for my President? The choice is between Trump and Biden. It’s a no-brainer – I pick Joe Biden.
