LURAY, Aug. 19 — This week we sit down with President Steve Campbell and Treasurer Tim Lansberry to discuss the Luray Volunteer Fire Department’s upcoming 125th anniversary celebration slated for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 11-12 at the Page Valley Fairgrounds.
We’ll discuss the “Cash Bash” in which the local fire department will be giving away $90,000 in just over four hours on Saturday, Sept. 12. Only 1,000 tickets left (among 5,000 ordered). The two-day event will feature food, music, kid’s activities, bingo, prizes and a 9/11 tribute by Matt Caton on Sept. 11. Live performances by Chosen Road (Friday) and Low Water Bridge Band (Saturday).
