Congressman Cline, how shall you redeem yourself?

Submitted as a letter to the editor:

Congressman Ben Cline,

I am one of your constituents in Page County, zip code 22835. I am a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army. I took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. You took a similar oath.

On January 6, you violated your oath by voting to reject, without valid cause, the duly chosen electors from the state of Arizona. Along with the lies from President Trump, your efforts to overthrow the presidential election inspired the rioting conspirators that invaded the Capitol building. Those conspirators were attempting to overthrow the Congress of the United States of America. You share the blame.

Your actions put your own life, as well as the lives of Vice President Pence and all other Congressmen and Senators, at risk.

How shall you redeem yourself? You should publicly break from Trump. You should encourage all of your constituents to support lawful government. You should support all efforts to quickly remove Trump from office before he causes even greater harm. You should vote for his impeachment.

Do you have the courage to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America?
