Weekly YouTube show dives into various issues, sites and events in the Page Valley

LURAY, Aug. 25 — This week we visit the Page Valley Fairgrounds to see and share the sights and sounds of the 74th annual Page Valley Fair. We’ll talk with a few princesses, as well as a few 4-H students and their livestock.
The Page Valley Fair continues through Saturday, Aug. 29. Gates open at 4 p.m. each day with the carnival and rides starting at 6 p.m. daily.
Grandstand shows include the Truck and Tractor Pull on Tuesday and Wednesday, singer Ryan Jewell will perform at the grandstand on Thursday, the rodeo comes to town on Friday, and the crowd-favorite demolition derby is the big attraction on Saturday.

Coming up on Page Valley Livin’… we’ll visit Cooter’s in the Valley to hear memorials for Ben Jones during the weekend’s “Birthday Bash”, we’ll visit the annual Sunflower Festival at Ralph Dean Park, and we’ll host two candidate forums to hear from those seeking seats on the Stanley Council and the Page County School Board.
The aim and purpose of these videos is to provide more information about the people, places and events that make up the wonderful place we call the Page Valley of Virginia. Serious issues will be handled seriously, while lighter issues may offer more opportunity to have some fun. There is no theme or agenda other than promoting the Page Valley, and trying to better inform the people who both live here and those who love to visit.
